I’ve got some big news for you. Like every horse crazed person I’m in way too many horse Facebook groups and I scrolled across an ad looking for help at a barn as a lesson staffer/ barn manager. I inquired of course to see if it would even work out, and I set up an interview for the next day. After showing off my competence in grooming, tacking and other basic horse stuff she told me she’d keep in touch and wanted my schedule.

I was so bummed since I knew I needed some prompting for somethings I had forgotten prior to this interview. I appreciated her patience with me. The next week I came in for training, because I GOT THE JOB!!

It’s been a dream of mine to work with horses as my job for pay and I really hoped this year wouldn’t be so horse dry for me and now I see them every day. Yesterday (2.22.18) I got to ride again for the first time in a year and a half. I’m so incredibly lucky to work at such a beautiful barn with amazing horses and people.
