Wonka & Caz Update || 2018

Caz’s friend group followed by Wonka in the roundup of the day 11/14/18

Caz has been doing great since my last update despite ripping his nice Kensington flymask in two places. I’ve been trading off different flymasks to protect his eye pocket from all the ash and smoke from the Camp Fire that broke out late last week. While the herd hasn’t been affected too much by the air quality, we’ve cancelled literally everything that isn’t a walk only lesson as a precaution.

Caz has fully succumb to his winter coat and is totally a fluffy mess. I bathed him yesterday at 2pm, wrapped him in a cooler and even by 6pm he was sopping wet from the minimal heat reaching the surface and how downy he is. I so wish these fires would go out soon so there’s some warmth again.

Caz will be getting his toes done soon if he hasn’t already, and Wonka just got new shoes two weeks ago. Wonka has joined the Svec herd again since he fell into disrepair with his past leaser. As mentioned in my new equine product post, he has a variety of fungus that needs to be treated and man has it been a slow battle. Unlike Caz’s hair, Wonka has fine soft body hair that holds dandruff & dirt and it’s making loosening up everything a really hard task with just elbow grease and a curry. Wonka’s eyes are very leaky in this weather especially with the ash, although I’ve been trying to clean them everyday they just keep leaking. Wonka got his neck vent reclipped and has been sporting a very cute neck.

The boys had a very cute moment meeting each other before Caz squealed at him. Until the next update, enjoy these photo of them figuring each other out.
