This post isn’t as light hearted as my others, but I hope the message is still as important. I spent just about a year working at a high traffic horse barn after my retail job at Forever 21 flopped. I LOVED the job in the beginning, I had a steep learning curve, but I genuinely enjoyed the work I was learning and doing. As time passed I became the target of a bully along with my now best friend (thanks for bringing us together by bullying us 🙄) and my life in and out of work was severely impacted. I never fully addressed the impact it had until a few days ago. Ultimately, I made the decision to quit my job as a barn manager just because I believe I deserve more respect from my superiors than I was given. I also thrive in an organized environment and this just wasn’t it.
I’m forever grateful for everything that I learned and got to experience because of my opportunity there but that’s all I kinda want to remember it for. My message for you to take away is know how much respect you deserve and hold yourself and others to that standard.
