How’s the Instagram algorithm been treating you? Because I find it atrocious one day and the best thing ever the next. Not to brag (I hope you catch the joke here because it’s bone deep), but my recent posts have averaged at 100 likes per post which says something about my growth. I’m not sure how to translate that growth into a consistent steady upwards trend, but I’m trying.
This photo I just posted today on @grey2bay for instance has 219 likes currently vs 31 the first time I posted it back when I actually visited Skyline Equestrian Center after a loooong break from posting new content. The algorithm has no doubt improved my impressions recently for my sake, but the end goal is to as I’ve said for a while, monetize it. Whether it be your favorite thing you do on the side of your day job, something you love to talk about in videos or through writing, a hobby/collection turned learning opportunity for others, and so many more opportunities find a way to monetize it. Those small chances to bring in more funds allows you to keep doing said hobbies or others.
So I ask what do you use Instagram for? I use it socially to keep up with my friends on @sara.svec, to spread my equine photography & thoughts @grey2bay, to share pictures of my cat @turbocitycat or reptiles @metropolis.reptiles. Check them out and let me know what you think!!
