Today’s post is going to be about the concept of minimalism. I know just I wrote about blush and how it’s going to be a hot color for this year, forgive the pun. However, with minimalists less is more, so blacks, whites, greys, and other neutral tones take over their color palette.
From a design aspect, having stark neutral colors allows other colors to stand out. For instance in our apartment we have a lot of grey, hardwood, and blue. The blue tones pop against the “boring” other colors in an asymmetrical way.
If I had to pick out things I already own that a typical minimalist would pick up at a home decor place I’d say these are the items for sure.
- White Desk With Cabinet
- Hexagon Black Side Table
- 4 Cube Shelf
- Cat Tree
- IKEA Bed Frame
While I don’t think it’s entirely possible for me to be a full on minimalist because I hoard my childhood so much, I think I can make it seem like I’m one. I believe that if I arrange my life well enough it’ll appear like I’m minimalist/ have my life sorted out.
