Pictured above is an amazingly creamy and sweet “Chocolat Chaud” from a little French Cafe on Rue de Rivoli near the Louvre and across from a metro station called the Colonnade. It was the absolute best hot cocoa I’d ever had as of 2016. Shockingly it passed the ones I’d had in the Czech Republic or Czechia (if their name change is set?).
My family and I ate at Svejk a local restaurant and bar in Prague almost every night during our time there. My favorite part of the Czech hot cocoa was the creaminess of the whip cream and the grains of leftover sugar at the bottom of the flute. This was way back in 2011.
Flash forward to 2019 and the Parisien chocolat chaud wins for me even to today. If you guys still can’t locate the cafe let me know I’m happy to pass along their actual address as I recommend it to everyone who goes to Paris!!
