A few days ago Capone got shoes to prepare his sensitive soles for summer as the ground hardens at the barn. Pictured above is Caz after getting his toes done when I did shoeing for the herd. My job then meant I had to be in at 7:30AM and pass off horses from the herd that were due to our farrier who would come in 3 days a week. We did have two other workers on site, but they were unavailable to do that shift unfortunately. I got to watch most of the trims or applications and learn things about different hooves.
