Happy start of the show season guys! I’m here today to show you a some of the summer and show season must have’s for your grooming tote and tack trunk.

I swear by these bathing/curry mitts, I have two because they only had the green when I went in and absorbed the blue to match my grooming kit. These have two sides with two textures for all your cleaning needs. I use the fine side on Capone’s socks when bathing, and all over his body when he’s dry to help him shed into his summer coat. The chunkier side I use as a normal curry pre clipping season and to get heavy mud off when bathing.

This Sport Horse Essentials Waterless Shampoo & Stain Remover has been a life saver for spots in Capone’s socks after turnout, any poop or grime on the body and as a finishing spray all over & in his mane and tail post grooming. If you want to try one of their products it’s definitely this one!! BUT if you have to pick two products also grab their hoof oil as it doubles as thrush prevention!!

As someone who’s on a budget having subscriptions is sometimes overwhelming. I don’t consider my FLIX a complete subscription as it’s not on “Auto-Ship”, but I buy them regularly. I get the 9lbs bag off the Horse Guard website because they cover shipping that way!! I standby their products, tailbags, hats (pictured below) and passion for horses.

A good hoof pick is one of the best tools in your tool belt. I use them for getting ticks out sometimes, obviously for its normal use as a pick and in some cases cleaning my own footwear. I love the Lettia Collection bedazzled hoof picks, they have a great flat pick and it’s easy to sharpen if need be. The blue one, I actually traded for my black one of the same model to match my kit, the original black one came from a SHE package. Speaking of that package, it came with 2 Snaks Fifth Avenchew SHE Cookies and a cute SHE rag.
A show season must have is a goat or horsehair finishing brush. It’s so good for small dust particles, and it adds shine like no other. Not to mention running it over your hands is super satisfying and soft!! If you can avoid a white one though it’ll look better than mine does right now.

While I don’t use this often, this roll on fly spray is good in a pinch in the girth area, around each fetlock and behind the ears! It was $10 in my local feed shop, and fits in the pockets of my grooming tote or my personal backpack for on the go. My all time favorite fly spray is the Bronco Citronella Scented Fly Spray, it reminds me of summers at my Grandma Jacobs barn in AZ.

A good halter for your trusty steed is super important whether your home or away. Rambo by Horseware makes super comfy, chic and mostly affordable padded halters. I have one in Black (it’s very faded) and one in Cherry Whitney Stripe. Or you can rock a nice leather halter on your show days, Capone looks stunning in his Tory Leather halter and they agree!!

And finally my favorite finishing spray scent wise, Marigold Premier Spray by Eqyss. This smells like perfume for horses, adds shine and reduces sun damage to the hair. You can get this small bottle for like $12 on Smartpak or Dover and $24 for the big bottle.
Hope you enjoy some of these favorites of mine, wear sunscreen at shows and look out for the next favorites post I make!!
