After many many years of aimlessly going about life without any sort of path forward in the job department I’ve finally set the goal. Within the next two years I’d like to join the airlines.
While this is a bold statement, this isn’t the first time I’ve thought about it or seriously considered it for a living. When I graduated from Brentwood School in 2016, my plan was to major in French to join the airlines as a bilingual flight attendant. Coinciding with that was my pilot training, which was going to be an absolute bonus for me. Unfortunately, I moved off to college and never finished my PPL (Private Pilot License).
Flash to today or at least the passed couple of weeks, I’ve really been thinking about joining the airlines and even searching for positions open near me. There’s a few baggage and taxi way positions, but no flight attendant ones at the moment. Delta, American, United and a few others have rolling applications meaning they’re always hiring I just have to figure out how the application works. In my free time I’ve been watching a ton of informational YouTube videos from some flight attendant creators and I’m so motivated for it. While this is just the beginning, literally of one of the most fun and important chapters of my life, there will be more posts on my journey to come.
