Waldhausen Rose Gold Line ||2020

Last post we talked about various things across the board horse wise that I want, but today’s post is specifically about the Waldhausen Rose Gold Line. This is the halter that started it all and opened the door to finding this stunning collection of rose gold tack. Ideal for shows, portraits and conformation/sale ads, this halter is priced at €56.95.

First things first you have to grab your horse from wherever it is, so you’ll need a halter and lead to make the transition from stall or pasture to the crossties or grooming area to prepare for work. If I wasn’t feeling the need to be all fancy, but still look classy and sophisticated while grooming I would use this nylon halter with this lead. If i did want to be a bit fancy I would use this mixed leather and nylon halter. And then go full out fancy with the leather halter with rose padding and rose gold hardware from my last post.

Grooming wise, I’m head over heels for their entire rose gold set. This is a shedding curry comb which we won’t need until next Spring, but it’s still so pretty I’d have to grab it to be prepared for Capone’s thick coat. This is the hoof pick which was the first item I saw and had to have grooming wise from this set, you can never have too many hoof picks. I will standby that forever, hoof picks literally have so many uses around the barn, trails and beyond. I’ve always wanted a good brush to clean Capone’s hooves before hoof oil, and now I have my eye on this one!! Out of all the sweat scrapers out there this type is my favorite, I literally just bought one for my kit in blue, but now I need this one instead.

Pictured above are the rose gold and crystal lady sized spurs, they are so cute and even come with spur straps. Capone has been very lazy with the change in weather and I’m thinking the reinforcement of some spurs might get him going a little better. I’m very much in need of a pair of spurs with straps because mine were so brittle the straps snapped on both spurs when I went to undo them to clean, big yikes. Priced at €9.95 these are a steal, I honestly might have to get both sets to change things up.

Another two items from this set that I need are the jump and dressage whips. These are the most elegant, minimal whips I’ve ever seen. The usual go to crystal bats and whips are pretty and what I would settle for, but this is what I want in a crop or whip. They have the most beautiful handle with rose gold trim and your standard bat and whip styles respectively. The dressage whip is priced at €15.95, and the crop is priced at €14.95 and are both steals to complete the rose gold set.

I’m still trying to figure out how this would work, but I think I’ve found my next bitless/side pull set up for Capone. I’ve been looking for years at the RAMBO Micklem Multibridle, and honestly I probably will buy one just to have it down the line when I have horses of my own because it will be useful, just not for what I’m doing right now. That being said I haven’t bitten the bullet and gotten my own bridle for Capony. In my last post my ideal set up western wise actually sold out and the price to put the pieces together may not be worth it, however this bridle pictured above opens a whole new door for a bridle. I would have to remove the noseband and let it live in my tack trunk, I would have to invest in a side pull attachment which wouldn’t be too much, I just hope they make one with the same rose gold hardware. This bridle without reins and the attachment is €39.95, the attachment is $37.95 which considering the bridle price is an arm and a leg, I’ll figure that part out down the line me thinks.

Should I ever be fortunate enough to own my own saddle, specifically a dressage saddle, these leathers are going on it immediately. I have no idea what size leather I would need but I will buy them both when the day comes to figure it out. The bling on them is so cute, it’s the perfect addition to a plain black saddle and accents it beautifully. The leathers are priced at €29.95 and look a thousand times better than your average stock leathers. Other miscellaneous tack items in rose gold are this martingale, these bell boots, this saddle pad, more full rose gold spurs, rose gold stirrups to match the leathers for my future dressage saddle, and since I’m all about barn management these leads can be converted into cross ties since they have the panic snaps on them just buy 2!!

As you can see I’m absolutely obsessed with rose gold and have to have everything decked out in it. I hope to spoil Capony and my future horses with these products as time goes on.
