A number of months ago, I went through my direct messages (DM’s) on Instagram for Grey2Bay and found one in my requests. A girl named Natalie Lake had started a small business crocheting horse bonnets and beanies and wanted me to join her team of ambassadors. I quickly planned out a bonnet to match my dream Ogilvy pads (yes, I know that fad died in 2014) and sent it off to her. It cost me about $20 and she hit the nail on the head color wise.
It’s a nice dark grey with a vibrant red and a cold royal blue. It makes my heart so happy and is everything I wanted in a custom bonnet. I needed a curved style bonnet to compliment my curved browband, and they look fantastic together. I always leave my royal blue crystal My Charmed Horse charm on my bridle since I’m slowly piecing it together and it matches the trim too!!
The first saddle pads I ever got were hand me downs from Webb. They were the pads I thought I could save, care for and bring back to life or just had to have even if they were ratty. Hard core judging for that is allowed, I was a hoarder!! Since then, I’ve acquired a few new pads of my own and I have some I’d love to invest in over time. About 8 years ago or so the Ogilvy pad fad hit and everyone was riding in custom pads. I started planning mine then for the day I could finally afford to have one and a horse to use them on.
These are the baby and dressage pad options with the perfect trim to match my bonnet. They’re so expensive I could cry, so I won’t be including their prices for the rest of the blog. (Unless you really need to know then I can fill it in.)
These are the eventing style pads one with high either clearance if I remember correctly. The grey’s are a bit darker than the last pair, but they probably would look even in person. Ogilvy offers a special simulation while shopping to preview your custom pad before purchase and the colors aren’t always 100% perfect.

And finally the basic jump pad, this would fit in with all the rest of my pads and it makes my heart so happy. I would have to get this one to start my collection, and it would be my baby for shows only. Big thank you to Ogilvy for making such quality pads to go with a custom bonnet from Crochet_Horse_Shop on Instagram.
