The Tale (Tail) of a Moondragon || 2021

Growing up I always classified people who blew up at others in an argument as ‘dragons’, it was usually the “dragon is breathing fire” and it was your cue to run, or watch the spectacle before you. Overtime, I came to respect the idea of dragons and I realized they only smoke you out with flames when pushed to that point, they’re usually just lovers in tougher skin. I slowly became more like a dragon, and have since fully accepted my inner dragon, I affectionately call her moondragon.

This of course started my love of all things dragon. I started off by buying my dragon charm from My Charmed Horse (use code SARA10 at checkout), I started drooling over the dragon print Professionals Choice tack set, and stirrup covers with the best fire breathing dragons ever. Well, until my latest find.

As stated in one of my recent posts, my Japanese stirrups are rusted and while they work well, they just look terrible. I had been searching for safety stirrups, Lorenzini’s in rose gold or something that would be rose gold to go with my love of all things in that color. I stumbled upon the most beautiful stirrups I have ever seen in my entire life, period, full stop.

The dragons are lifted off the irons, and the fire trails up towards the engraved aspects of the stirrup, and man my heart soars like my inner moondragon every time I look at them. They are priced at $300 and I will be buying them as soon as I get home from my vacation. They will pair perfectly with my new stirrup covers and they will bring endless light, love and wonder to my rides.
