Cranberry || 2022

During 2020, PS of Sweden released a handful of colored monogram saddle pads that were anatomically built and helped make sure the saddle and pad sat correctly over the horses back for a sure fit. These fruity colored pads over time became “unicorns” as they became harder and harder to find and purchase. People created Facebook groups to exchange their pads for others or resell ones they ended up not being a fan of. After realizing this was a thing people were doing I began looking into the groups and joining them left and right. I have since collected give or take 5 pads in the last year through this process. That being said I always had my eye out for older pads that were reasonably priced or unicorns I couldn’t pass up.

Cranberry from the SS 2020 year was somewhere near the top of my list, but I struggled to find it for months. It’s a beautiful almost flamingo pink with navy trim paired with sparkle piping, and the spine says #girlboss making it the ultimate pad for when I want to have a powerful day in the saddle. No one had a full set they were selling, and if they did they added on the polos which I’d never use. I simply don’t want to pay for them or have four rolled polos just taking up space in my tack trunk. That being said I was able to secure just the pad so far. It traveled to me all the way from England, and actually got lost in the mail tracking wise.

I had ordered it just before Christmas and the seller was kind enough to post it knowing the holidays would be a struggle for the mail service in the pandemic. It was checked on December 18th, marked as “Leaving the UK”, and radio silence after that until I was informed I had a package.

I cannot wait to grab a matching bonnet down the line so I can move on to collecting the blueberry collection.
