Back when my parents first brought me home pre adoption, we spent our first official dinner together at C & O Trattoria. We went to their Marina Del Rey location and I think it’s the only one I’ve ever been to. They have another location too, I just don’t remember where off hand. It’s a great restaurant for family dinners, dates and small events. They leave crayons for you to doodle on the paper table cloth with. They provide you with an endless amount of garlic knots after you give them the first nod of approval. And they overall have a wonderful environment and pleasant customer service.

I had to go ahead and drop the garlic knots here for you guys to see up close. They are to this day one of my favorite items on their menu. They are almost pretzel bread like and they hold so much flavor with the soften hand minced garlic bits scattered here and there. I hate to say I even scoop up groups of garlic that get left behind in the serving dish it’s just that good. I’ll make sure to bring breath mints with me for the car ride home. It’s just too bad Starbucks stopped carrying their Peppermint Gum since it was the best for a breath refresh.
However, before we even get to that point you’d have to enjoy some quiet music before getting the biggest family helping of pasta you’ve seen in ages.

My family go to is the Fettuccine à Lemon, which unfortunately looks like they don’t have listed on their current menu. It’s a normal fettuccine alfredo with finely grated lemon rind and juice mixed into the sauce for a bolder flavor. It’s absolutely amazing.
I hope if you stop by and ask they can make it for you so you can enjoy a taste of the good old days of C & O. Otherwise enjoy their other great entrees and of course the garlic knots.
