Renaissance || 2022

Back in the Spring/Summer of 2019, PS of Sweden created a whole bunch of collections, but I wanted to focus on Renaissance.

It’s a beautiful pink resembling colors you’d see on gowns during the Renaissance. The pad makers paired this color with white and silver twisted trim to accompany the off white exterior piping of the pad. When I saw it, and saw how under appreciated it was among the groups I knew I had to have it.

When I secured my Renaissance pad I also grabbed my Crystal Merlot set from Equestrian Stockholm from the same seller. Overall, I paid ~$325 for the whole bundle and shipping, just to give you a ball park number for how much it cost me.

I hate using polo wraps, mostly because I don’t have the magic roller for them, and because I actually haven’t been taught how to properly wrap. I know, I’m an instructor and I have no idea what I’m doing in that department. That kinda makes me look bad, but I’ll learn one day.

That being said for the usual $49 retail I could grab a set of polos for this set. There’s the original Renaissance polos on the left, and the new Rose Ribbon polos on the right. Once I’m given the all clear to polo, I will buy both sets, but for now I will leave these here for y’all to ponder for a set of your own. They are the same base color, the 2019 set just looks deeper in the sale photos from back then.

From there, I want to grab a browband to match and a bonnet. Well, oops they didn’t make a bonnet to match Renaissance. They did however, make a bonnet for Rose Ribbon. I have been looking for a retailer or reseller with a full size bonnet, but so far no one has it. Normally priced at $49 when available, I’m sure I won’t be so lucky unfortunately.

And I haven’t decided which browband I want since there are a few option PS of Sweden put out. However, I have my eyes on the ones below. Originally priced at $89 with a click it closure, these PS of Sweden browbands are no longer readily available.

On the left we have Sleek Rose, and the right we have Big Pink Bloom. If I get all the needed horse pieces, next I’ll have to find a shirt and the dressage cut to match so I can have the ultimate tack box.

Until then, enjoy this collection you guys!!
