Pan Am || 2022

I have covered how special Pan Am is to me in this post all about the board game, but today I wanted to talk all about the TV show based on the very same airline.

Back in 2011, as I went into 8th grade (yikes I didn’t mean to age myself), ABC put out a new program called Pan Am.

It was my FAVORITE show, so much so Tereza and I binged it like crazy and rewatched every recorded episode over and over again. Our freshman year we were even flight attendants for Halloween like the lovely women above.

Unfortunately for us fans the show only lasted a season before being cancelled, but it was so good I bought it on Apple TV to have and enjoy for all time. I forget it if it was $15/$25 but it wasn’t that much to acquire my show, and I can stream it at my leisure on my Roku which is super nice. I showed it to Brannon one of our overnights and he agreed it deserved more screen time than one season. The ending for all the characters shows room for so much growth and drama, it’s hard to believe they dropped it.

While I am happy they dropped it so David Harbour could change roles from Roger Anderson to Hopper in Stranger Things, I would’ve loved to see where the show went. Other stars like Margot Robbie also gained a lot of fame from the show, landing her future roles in the Wolf of Wall Street and more.

If you are interested in watching the show for yourself, all of the available streaming/renting/buying platforms are listed below thanks to Google.

  1. […] In an effort to relive that excitement around the city, I have compiled all the shows, and series I have watched to itch the New York City need I had. Even now there are days I watch people walk around the city on YouTube if I don’t have a specific show in mind. Today’s post is here to help set a guide for what to watch one show at a time. I will be highlighting one show at time, much like I did for Pan Am. […]
