I’m a sentimental person, otherwise sometimes called a hoarder. I keep a collection of odds and ends for various reasons, but todays post covers postcards.
For obvious reasons, postcards are inherently sentimental. They usually save a special spot or moment from wherever I’m visiting on a small card for me to treasure forever. The two I have in mind are no different.
On one of the many hotel overnights B and I have had splitting our time between San Jose and San Francisco, I saw these in the gift shop of the Hilton Garden Inn. They were $2 each, and I am grateful B bought them for me.

If you take time to look at them they’re essentially the same bridge with a different print around it, but I love them just the same. It makes them a perfect pair. I saw the one on the left first and immediately thought of my Dad and Granddad because of fleet week, and the one on the right reminds me of my own journey with B. He’s currently figuring out his first class medical to get his Private Pilot License, and he too will be in the air.
I wanted to share them since I won’t be sending them, and knowing me, it may be a while until they are displayed. I will be compiling ALL of my postcards and somehow organizing them by date and at least experience. I can’t wait to share them with you guys.
