Arizona Update || 2022

Superstition Mountains behind some Saguaro cactus

It’s been 20 days since B, Turbo and I arrived in Arizona, and life is back in full swing. In the first week, B made it through ground school and his written exam for his private pilot license (PPL), and promptly started ATP right after. Between the Flight Simulator and a whole team of airplanes he’s got about 10+ hours now, and it’s going fast.

It’s hard to believe how fast it’s going when it took me nearly a whole summer to get to my check ride that never was. While flying is something I took a break from, I still enjoy every aspect of it. Horseback riding however, is something I’ve taken many breaks from, but I always come back to.

Since I’ve been down here I have been trying to find ways for me to get in the door of some show barns, other disciplines, and any safe horse job to keep me fulfilled day to day. I think I might have a lead on that, but I will keep you updated.

My other option is to start looking for a lease, lesson package or an ownership situation.

I have been slowly working at making a lease to own situation work for me and a horses current owner, but we will see how it goes. I will take a few posts to outline how I might make that work for you guys, but until then enjoy my Arizona update.
