In our last Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show series post we broke down the last show the brand put on. We talked best outfits, ridiculous aspects and all the fun & glam it took. Today we’re going to go a bit farther in and break down the backstage aspects of the show.
Each show is unique, stresses different company aspects and highlights new beautiful products to help with conversion in stores. For those of you who are new to retail, anytime you walk into a store the goal is to get you to walk out with a purchase, the number of people in vs the number of purchases gives the brand their conversion rate. Something L Brands used to stress like crazy while I worked for them. In fact, if you have the best conversion rate you got benefits.
That being said, let’s go to the runway.

I attached a photo of three beautiful Victoria’s Secret Angels backstage. As you can see in the background it’s kind of chaotic, but the models still find time for fun before the nerve wracking show.
Todays blog highlight is all about the backstage bra & panty set, and the special show robe every model got. Pretty much every Victoria’s Secret model gets the sexy bed head curls to walk the runway. I spent hours, days if not months teaching myself the proper technique from the makeup and hair artists at the show. They always posted a tutorial, and I always logged in to watch it. The girls get to sit in a cute branded chair to get their look perfected for the show, and it adds to the backstage aesthetic.

Pictured above is Josephine Skriver in her vanity chair before the show. She’s wearing her Angel wing necklace from the company when she was made an Angel, which pairs perfectly with the backstage outfit.
To start we’ll tackle the main focus of the ‘fit, the robe. The robe is a Victoria’s Secret backstage staple. You aren’t a part of the show if you don’t get a robe in my opinion…or you could be like me and eventually buy one.

The brand made two versions of the robe for customers and one black version for the show. It was a breath of fresh air to see a new color robe for the show, even if it’s VS pink usually. I have been fortunate enough to find the 2018 robes all over Poshmark and Facebook. While I have to prioritize other payments and bills, I will be slowly making all my VSFS sets come to life.
In an effort to meet that goal I have found the bra and panty set too!!

Josephine Skriver & Sara Sampaio are posing in their glam and outfits backstage above. I included it so you guys can see the Very Sexy bra and the no show panties. While the panties aren’t made anymore the brand has made a matching pair of panties to the bra these days.

I can’t wait to grab these to rock at home. I’d feel like a Victoria’s Secret model without having to put in all the effort to maintain a certain look. Together, the 2018 backstage set will cost me close to $200 which is about the same as a saddle pad set so I can’t be too mad.
Keep your eyes ready for the next series post Angels!!
