Cayenne Notes || 2023

I realized I should make these notes public for my benefit, but also for anyone else who felt like they might need a reference. After getting two equestrian journals in various Cavali Club boxes, I decided it was time to start a log of what happens while I’m in the saddle, and on the ground with the horse of my choosing.

As of 1/21/2023 these are my notes.

Cayenne fits into a Full size Equestrian Stockholm halter perfectly, I only had my Dark Sky version handy so I will be sure to bring my Parisian Blue one out on another occaision. So far the Pepper Boy™ grooms up very nicely, I keep wondering if I should buy a new bottle of Eqyss Marigold Spray, or if I should hold off until my sample bottle is truly empty. I brought a Purvida concentrate with me, but I needed a new bottle to mix it so I’ll wait for another time to mix that was well. I was concerned that his tail was going to be bad after all this time to be a horse, but its okay aside from being a bit dry. I think that Horse Guard FLIX, a good shampoo & condition and a tail bag would work wonders.

Cayenne prefers a mix of Bermuda & Grass hay, he is too spicy on Alfalfa, aside from what is in his pellets. I reviewed carrot stretches with him, and he’s picked them up beautifully. We start at the toes, left shoulder bending reach, I change sides and ask for a chest touch and then a right shoulder bending reach for him. On a good day, I’ll curry his belly for tummy tucks as well. He doesn’t understand crunches or point of buttock releasing, but we’ll get there. Along with all of these new things he is learning to pose and model since he’s new to the ‘gram.

Given the chance, Cayenne will escape his stall. He will also poop inside and smear his graain & pellets everywhere on the door etc. Once you take him out to the roundpen though he can be very playful. He will play tag or bluetooth halter with you. This exercise made me feel connected to him since we hadn’t had much time to ourselves at this point. That being said Cayenne has earned his chili pepper emoji because he can be a pistol. I hope My Charmed Horse adds a chili pepper to their inventory just for him.

I should try my Cavalor Cavali Club sample on him, especially in the summer. I am going to need more bit wipes the pure ones from the Infused Equestrian. I also want to bring out my hair ties to braid him up since he’s getting sweaty. If we get into more serious work I’ll be sure to use my Back on Track Limber Up shampoo.

I can’t wait to see his face again, until then check out his tag below!!
