Back in 2010 I was fortunate enough to go with my parents to London & Prague. While you guys will hear all about that trip at a later date, I wanted to talk memories today. I am very sensitive, both emotionally and literally sensitive with my 5 senses. I rely on my body’s ability to sense stuff, and sometimes I catch a smell that reminds me of a memory long stored away.

I was cat sitting for my parents neighbor Pat and her kitty at the time when I had this very thing happen to me. This was about 5-6 years after my trip, and I was washing my hands after making a very smelly plate of cat tuna. I sniffed and sniffed pleased that the soap washed away the smell of the kitty’s meal, and how lovely the scent was as is.

I sat in her apartment playing with the four legged furbaby and tried to pinpoint what I was smelling. I felt this overwhelming feeling that I had smelled this before and slowly the memories came to. It was London. The hotel we stayed at pumped the smell of Geranium’s into the lobby and even the hallways of the building. It was understated and welcoming so I was never put off by it, but the soap back home smelled identical.

That day I made a promise to myself not to use any other soap. So, go on down to your local Target or home goods store that stocks Mrs Meyer’s products and pick up the entire “Geranium” line of cleaning products. They are my favorite.
