If you’re reading this, we’ve been here a year officially. Oh and we’re moving.
Yes, you read that right. B and I are here to stay in Arizona and we have decided to make some changes with the help of some local family. As you all know I have immersed myself in barn life at my Aunt Lori & Great Aunt Helen’s, and it’s lead to a more accessible opportunity. We’re moving on property!!

I am beyond excited. From waking up to horses in my backyard, to living 10 year old Sara’s dream, and getting to share that with B and my sweet kitty Turbo means the world to me.
We have been struggling with things about this apartment. We have outgrown the small space. And we also had a massive pipe burst, soak our apartment, and cause mold…probably. The management on site recommended ripping the whole apartment up to replace anything affected by the leak, which is everything. Our kitchen cabinets, counters, sink, stove, toilet, bathroom sink, dishwasher, flooring, literally everything. So we could not be more relieved to have to option to move onto barn land.

That being said, the spooky month is over, temperatures have dropped and so has my motivation. I am currently hosting and fully judging a holiday exhibition series at my lesson barn. It is a lot of effort to host a show, but I have enjoyed the project. If you guys are curious I will be sure to make a post here about it. Lessons are going well, I have a student on the way to canter, which is as far as I have brought along a student here in Arizona. I feel like I reached a milestone. I have started a handful of new students and they are promising, I’d like to see how soon we can get them confident and independent.
On November 4th, I got into my first ever car accident. We’re still waiting to hear back from my insurance adjuster, but I shouldn’t be found at fault for a whole bunch of reasons. I was very shaken, and I hope to never experience that again.
Cayenne, has been something else recently. On the last couple of trails he has decided to start popping up on me, and wants to rear. It seems very much like a tantrum, but we are treating him for ulcers. He has been on the medications for some time, yet hasn’t shown real improvement, until today (11/15). He bit our boarder in the head/face for being in his stall, tried to kick me during grooming and is just less of a companion and more of a nuisance currently. I hope this whole thing works, and he gets happy and comfortable again.

Other than that, I have been cleaning, and packing. B has been going hard at CFI and flight school, I am so proud of him. He finally got to fly for fun in a Cirrus with Greg so that was memorable. He’s all in on getting his high horsepower endorsement after that joy ride. He specifically said Cessna’s don’t move in comparison to a Cirrus. We just have to get passed Thanksgiving for the next milestones in his journey I think.
Stay tuned for the next update.
