And just like that I’m back!!
It’s been a minute, lots of life changes, but we’re all still here. To get back into the groove, we’re tackling a huge life change for someone who inspired Grey2Bay, Aspyn Ovard.
Aspyn Ovard is a 28 year old beauty & fashion, sometimes travel vlogger turned family vlogger with the birth of her three children. For privacy reasons she’s previously vlogged about, I won’t spend too much time talking about them, just a heads up. The footnotes: she has three children, 5, 3 and one under a year. Aspyn married vlogmate, Parker Ferris, back in 2015. They were high school sweethearts, and stayed a long time in their hometown growing together, and growing their YouTube channel together.
They went through several homes, each one planned from start to finish. They moved north, then south and always made it work for them. She ran an online store, he ran all the brand deals and his ” Super Secret Show”. They went all over the globe, cruising, flying and more just to see the worlds wonders. But, the catch was they brought us too.
They vlogged everything. From Easter, to challenges, to Vlogmas, to home decor in the houses, to other fun adventures. I always felt like we were growing up together on the internet in a way. So many things they stood for, were things I wanted in my own relationships and life.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Asypn finally broke her silence on her divorce. While it isn’t anyone’s business what’s going on, I am heartbroken for them. I know this leads to a new chapter, but a piece of my young adulthood just shattered. I was so shocked hearing this video.
We knew as of April this was a possibility when a super “fan” decided to break legal confidentiality, and publicly aired her divorce filing on the internet. This was shocking on all fronts since she was also just giving birth to her youngest, premature daughter. However, all of us who have been avid watchers since 2014 and beyond, were hopeful this wasn’t true. Surely, she wouldn’t file for divorce the same day she gave premature birth to her last child right? Well shockingly, it was a big yes, yes she would.
As of now, Aspyn proudly resides alone, full time in California near the coast like she dreamed in the vlogs. She has her girls and dog Luma with her, Disneyland near by and endless beach days. I am so proud of her.
I went through a break up situation very similar to hers, and I know how good life can get when you let it. I can’t wait to see what this chapter has in store for her, the channel and what adventure she brings us on next. You’ve got this Aspyn.
