Sport Horse Essentials Waterless Shampoo & Stain Remover || 2025

If you’re reading this post, we’re back!! The Grey2Bay blog has come back from the great freeze, and were just as good as we used to be. Back at our peak, this account was generating likes like I had never seen. Unfortunately, as the algorithm took over Grey2Bay was swept out to sea and we plateaued. I’m hoping today’s topic brings all the old fans back, and if you’ve been here for that long, thank you. That being said, lets get into it.

Today’s post is all about my ultimate grooming tote item, my holy grail of grooming if you will…the Sport Horse Essentials Waterless Shampoo & Stain Remover. I discovered this product the same time I found their Hoof Oil, and they have been instrumental in my horsemanship.

Ages ago when I was working at Webb Ranch, I started trying different products on horses in the herd. At the time, I was really concerned with Caz’s poopy butt as I called it and needed a product to help him out in every way possible. He was getting urine and poo scald down his back legs, and this helped sweep the dirt away to provide him so relief from the impending burns. Before it arrived the girls on the eventing team recommended it saying “its a godsend in Winter”, but I remained skeptical even with the various ads showing how effective it was. Before my shipment arrived, the girls on the WR eventing team recommended it saying “it’s a godsend in winter”, but I remained skeptical even with the various ads showing how effective it was.

Those riders were right, as it’s now my favorite product hands down. I have gone through more bottles than I can count, and there’s always at least one bottle in my grooming tote at any point during the year. This makes it so easy to remove stains, marks, poop or dirt with a quick spritz and scrub. I ordered their SHE Show Pack at one point, and it came with the most perfect branded microfiber towel. I use that with my bottle of Waterless Shampoo, and the results are always the same. I am never let down by this grooming aid.

I have used this on horses like Caz & Capone back in 2019, to horses like Cayenne & Goose in 2024. I will still be using this when I buy my first horse. I highly recommend this product when I can, it’s truly a godsend, anytime. This bottle of wonder comes in two sizes, 16oz or 32oz. They are priced $28 and $40 respectively.

The bottle is a cute royal blue, with the Sport Horse Essentials logo on it. The nozzle can shoot specifically in one spot or in a wide blast style to cover more ground. There’s also an off setting to save your grooming tote, or tack trunk. My bottles tend to last forever and they do smell fantastic. I’m especially partial to the coconut oil in it, it’s just the right amount of sweetness for a coat spray. If you have a small tack room don’t worry about odd smells, this will make it smell lovely in there. I have a habit of raving about the Waterless Shampoo & Hoof Oil so much the SHE team has kindly reposted Grey2Bay many times on their page.

If you are looking to take a step up in your grooming check out the Sport Horse Essentials page, you won’t regret it.
