Today’s post is all about an Arizona based equine groomer. Central Cowgirl Co makes their own grooming care line, and I wanted to take today’s post to highlight is since it works.
Starting off you’ll need a bathing nozzle, one that can dispense soap and water with a switch. I have one from an old Cavali Club box and it features a handful of other settings to get the most out of your bath. I have tried the Central Cowgirl Original Shampoo & Conditioner since Confetti and Goose have both had spa days with her. Confetti’s reel is down below, and you can find Goose’s here.
The pair of shampoo & conditioner smells amazing!! It is so refreshing, leaves a great feel on your horses coat and tackles the hard to clean areas nicely. You can get similar results without the wash nozzle with just scrubbing and a hose, but I definitely recommend it for easier use. This shampoo seemingly works better on light or spotted horses just because the results are more apparent, but I would love to test it on Po’s coat once I get through a bottle of planned treatment shampoo. The shampoo & conditioner is priced at $25 and $30 respectively.
I know Central Cowgirl now has a Theraputic Shampoo, but I haven’t tried that version of her product just yet. Priced just like her other shampoo, this treatment shampoo says it tackles the woes of coat care like fungus, skin discomfort and flakiness. I will let you all know how that goes if I try it.
This next product is their Brightening Treatment, which leaves every horse they use it on blindly bright and clean. I would love to know what they put in this, because there’s no way to get a horse this clean otherwise. Priced at $45, this product is one of my favorites when she posts a reel of a spa day. It’s so satisfying to see the dirt run off their body with each rinse. Most times you can see her still photos and there is a clear line where she cleaned and hadn’t touched yet.
One last product is their Miracle Mist Leave-In. This is a healthier version of the big box “Show Sheen” and I am so happy to see an alternative. Many ingredients in big box coat sprays have harmful additives, leave weird feelings on the hair and build up over time. I am a firm believer if I wouldn’t use it on myself I shouldn’t use it on my horse partner. This is priced at $15 and features a fun pink label to add a pop to your grooming kit.
Check out her shop and her account, she got some really fun grooming tips to elevate your grooming game. You can also use code “CCC10” at Rock n Tailbags to save your horses tail from the elements in between spa days. I personally have my eye on the “Bold Hibiscus” one. I love sharing small businesses, especially a woman owned one. If you’ve used this grooming service, their products or have a Rock n Tailbag, let me know in the comments!!
