Today I’m taking us back in time to 2020 when everyone was looking for supplemental income from the comfort of their personal pods. This led to one hunter jumper rider turned Instagram influencer to start a blossoming brand, Remarkable Leather Goods.

I was really inspired to share these halters since my current one is a goner. As of May 13th while holding Polaris for the farrier I realized the chin strap is about to rip from the top of the leather through to the hardware. I have little to no time to replace it in case Po acts up in hand in the coming days. Luckily I have a nylon halter handy, it’s just not my favorite with a stud chain. Anyways, back to the blog of the day.
When Olivia wasn’t showing her mare “Remarkable”, she was planning out triple stitch halters on buttery soft leather. She launched three colors , Havana, Chestnut and Black, and paired it with brass or stainless steel hardware depending on your preference. On top of that she started with three main styles in the first six months or so, aptly named after her three treasured mares.

The Remarkable is the first triple halter she released. It features the brands lovely stitching across the halter, a flat throat latch with a clip, and a replaceable crown piece. Like all of their halters this is a safe breakaway option, its triple layered leather and sustainably made in the USA. I have seen a ton of these posted online across all platforms. This and the next seem like the fan favorites.

The Lovestruck is my personal favorite of their halters, and the second halter released. This halter is basically the Remarkable, but it has a rolled throat latch instead. My current (nearly broken) Tory Leather halter has a rolled leather throat latch and I really like it over flat ones. I feel like it provides a little better control for the horses who are spirited sometimes on the ground. I would’ve used this on Cayenne to take him to the round pen when it was still far away in Arizona. Now that we’ve moved and I bought Polaris, it will be his halter eventually.

The Coryfee is the final halter of the three. This is a convertible halter!! It has a removable throat latch for easy grooming, bathing or photos. It features the flat throat latch and the standard triple stitching. I honestly haven’t seen a ton of these posted online. In a dream scenario I would love to use them when I run a barn for bathing, show prepping and photo shoots. I think for that reason they are running a deal on them currently, you can find that deal here.
After weighing the pros and cons of each, and losing my prized first leather halter to age and use, my eyes are on the Lovestruck.
This Lovestruck halter would ideally get an engraved plate on it with Po’s race name I think. That or the blog name, I haven’t decided. Convienently, Remarkable Leather Goods is the proud new owner and face behind The Engraver & The Green Hill Collection. This is a very well loved engraving company to the point where it was a staple at the Devon Horse Show. Olivia now gets to sell her halters, leads, and other leather goods with the easy option to customize any purchase with an engraved nametag. You can find her at booth #62 at Devon for tags, saddle plates, blanket tags and more.
I have yet to make the purchase, but I will update you all when I do. Much like my saddle pad collection, this is a must need for Polaris and I moving forward. It should also be an investment, as they have a TLC program for their products after purchase. It’s comfroting knowing if I spend my hard earned money on a product they will fix it after my use.
Below are some of my top pictures in my Tory Leather halter since it’s being removed from use. See you all on the next post.
