In early March my family and I celebrated my “Gotcha” Day, or the day I moved in with my family before I was adopted. They sent me a lovely card, and an Amazon gift card for $50. I instantly loaded it on my phone and have been picking and choosing what I’d want to get with the card. I initially thought that a bareback pad and S Hackamore would be a great option, until I finished my bridle with my copper link loose ring snaffle.

After a month and some change, I decided today (4/3/2021) was the day that I was going to use my card with the items I pieced together to make my purchase worth it. I found 4 items in total, and spent ~$50 of my own money, but it was worth it.

The first item I grabbed was a solution for Turbos current water situation and was a must. We’ve been running the sink on and off all the time for him and it’s very annoying if we need to actually use the sink because Turbo just assumes we’re turning it on for him. We went from the bowl, to the sink with running water and Turbo prefers the fresh water much more than the sitting water we used to offer. This cool cat fountain keeps the water running and provides the bowl option if he prefers. This fountain is priced at about $17 without the block to plug it into the wall. The adapter is a basic iPhone block, and I didn’t want to pay another $10 for the version with a block I have too many of already.

The second item I grabbed for Turbo was a new collar. I try to get a new collar for him every year that fits the “theme” of the year or pattern I’m obsessed with at the time. This years collar is a reminder of the desert in Arizona, and my favorite plant, cacti!! It has a nice light blue background, which is perfect in terms of G2B colors and is sprinkled with cute green cacti all around the band. It has a safety snap buckle so it’ll slip off with enough force should Turbo ever get hung up on anything. This collar is $6 and I’m super excited to give Turbo his new “outfit”.

To match my cutest fur baby, I got Capone a pair of new bell boots. I realized yesterday that I have a minor obsession with bell boots, and these just made everything worse/better? Probably depends who you’re asking. For $28 I grabbed these irresistible cactus bell boots. I usually only get a few items like lead ropes and such from Weaver, so we’ll see how I end up liking their stuff. In theory these bell boots won’t turn and should stand up to decent work.

And the last item I got was slightly a compulsive purchase, but it’s also absolutely needed going forward. I got a full size rose gold blue tooth back kit keyboard. It has a variety of colors to choose from in terms of back lighting and I’m super excited to tap away blog posts and future school assignments on it. It was the only thing I spent my own money on and it’s about $50, so I hope we work well together.

I’ll go ahead and do an update when the items get here in a week or so. Until then, hug your pets close and boop their nose for me.
