Now that I am deep into my saddle pad obsession, I have felt a small need to potentially try other brands. I am forever an Equestrian Stockholm and PS of Sweden girl, but I have long been curious about Equipad pads.

Based out of Australia, Equipad is an extension of Equifit. At the end of September back in 2015 they began their social media presence and man did they take off like a storm.

Their climb to fame in the equestrian world was quick given how many giveaways they were a part of. They were featured in doodles and equine art. Popular accounts did take overs and answered questions and shared their day to day life. They were very much the thing to have. At first it was mostly boots, but they did release a handful of pads.

I think they quickly realized the market for special edition pads was only going up and they began their “Equipad” adventure in October of 2020. That makes them a relatively young pad company, but like the boots, they have taken off.

They release capsule based collections that are meant to sell out before the next one hits the shelves. This unfortunately makes it impossible to buy a pad you’ve fallen in love with weeks too late as I have figured out.

The first capsule was a stunning blue they made based off the colors of the morning sky. It has the purple tones of night slipping away rooted in it and all the brightness of the start of day.

Shortly after that they complimented this collection with another capsule. They called this one Dusk Grey as it reminded them of the dying light of day. I can see it, but I mostly see a dusty rose color that makes my inner pink lover go “NEED”. I do wonder how this compares to some of the PS of Sweden and Equestrian Stockholm pinks, but I won’t know until I see it myself.

Most recently to these they released a perfect pad. I have yet to obtain this one, but I am sure I will have it one day. It screams SPORTY, while still saying sophisticated and preppy. Mint Teal is my absolute favorite. I haven’t been able to find it just yet, but the day I do y’all will know.
