In Tampa, Florida, 40 years ago, Fallon Taylor was born. She is now based out of Whitesboro, Texas, and is a champion barrel racer. Now she didn’t just get there so today’s post is introducing Fallon Taylor, and her herd and life as we know it.
At the young and determined age of 8, Fallon joined the WPRA, otherwise known as the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association. By the time 1995 rolled around, she had claimed 6th place in the world standings. Absolutely incredible. In 1996 she took Dr Nick Bar and Flowers and Money, her two best horses to Rodeo Houston, and won. In total for that show she made $15000, more than some can make in a year. But, horse people know horsin’ ain’t cheap. All that show money fed, watered, drove, and housed her horses in between jackpots and runs.
By 1998 Fallon had opted to take a break from rodeoing and took on modeling and acting. She cameoed as Charlie Sheen’s love interest on Two and a Half Men, but ultimately didn’t advance in the industry. All the while she trained horses, but did not compete at the same time.
In 2006 after a successful breeding of her two prized horses Dr Nick Bar & Flowers and Money, Flo’s Heiress was born. She was given lots of time to be a baby, and grow up and Fallon took on other projects to utilize her arena time. However, in 2009 she suffered an accident and was seriously injured. While loping her horse, they slipped and then pitched a fit after the slip, which resulted in a fractured skull, a broken eye socket and a broken vertebra. She says the doctor warned her she was lucky to be alive. However, after all that she was terrified that this accident meant never riding or running again, let alone walking and adulting on her own.
She rehabbed, and worked her butt off to get back to normal life as best she could, and a year and a half later she was recovered enough to walk; and another year after that she was riding and race ready.
Now affectionately called BabyFlo, Flo’s Heiress is queen mare these days when it comes to chasing cans. With BabyFlo, 31 year old Fallon Taylor put food on the table, kept the lights in the barn on and started a company from the back of a borrowed truck in between shows. Fallon qualified for 7 National Finals Rodeo’s, her first at the age of 13, and the rest with her BabyFlo partnership. In 2013, BabyFlo made horse of the year, and became a Breyer. In 2014 Fallon Taylor and BabyFlo won the WPRA making all of her dreams come true.

That same year she took her idea of fun rodeo fashion from DIY to proper storefront with Ranch Dressn, her own rodeo clothes line. In due time she added The Saddle Sack Co to her resume, and is still going strong today. In a way she is the Luca + Grae of the western world. I say that because Fallon Taylor’s YouTube has outlined her entire journey for us, and its the place we all go to support her most.
As of 2022, Fallon Taylor welcomed her first son Brand Alexander McCray to the world, and the horses just loved him. During her pregnancy BabyFlo recovered from the complications of a tendon tear and came back into work. All the while they have been planning various embryo and egg flushes to produce more talented barrel babies.
Now that its 2023, BabyFlo has officially retired from competition, and is just playing horse & being a mama via surrogacy. Fallon acquired a new RV for traveling shows to fit 4 people comfortably, and her goals are coming to fruition. She urged everyone in her RV debut to keep going for their dreams because they might just come to be faster than you thought. Ill leave yall with that very same thought. The energy spent towards a goal is always met with the goal manifested, its just time that gives you the reward.
Take that with y’all and I’ll see you next post!!
